A steel rail is a fixed steel pathway component that constrains wheel movement to a defined trajectory while supporting vertical and lateral loads generated by moving vehicles. It operates as the central structural element of any rail-based transport or handling system. GNEE RAIL provides steel rails in comprehensive specifications, including GB 8–60 kg/m, UIC50–UIC60, DIN536 A55–A120, QU70–QU120, JIS rail profiles, AS1085 series, BS11:1985, and AREMA/ASCE standards, together with rail joints, fastening systems, and technical after-sales support.
What is an ASCE rail?
ASCE Rail is a type of rail defined by the American Society of Civil Engineering, which is used in railway tracks in North America. It is mainly used for light transport or light rails such as temporary hauling tracks in forested areas, mines, and construction areas. ASCE rail sizes are generally specified with their weight per yard. For example, ASCE85 stands for 85 pounds per yard. ASCE85 rail (85lb rail/85 pound rail) and ASCE60 rail (60lb rail/60 pound rail) are very hot products. GNEE RAIL has an inventory of ASCE rail from 25lb/yd to 85lb/yd and other railroad tracks for sale.

Steel Material Grades for ASCE Rail
Although the cross-sectional shapes, weights, and dimensions of ASCE 25–80 rails all follow traditional design, ASCE rail products produced now use high-purity carbon steel, which is produced by the modern iron smelting process, from open-hearth furnace to Basic Oxygen Furnace / Electric Arc Furnace. Since the steel has higher performance of purity and significantly more stable. Microalloying and appropriate heat treatment processes will further make improves its strength, wear resistance, and service life, which is significantly superior to the rail materials of ASCE rails in the old days.
The steel materials for ASCE rail production is designed with ordinery carbon steel standards, the steel grades includes the following 3 types:
- ASTM A1 (Carbon Steel Rail): Applicable to light rail (including ASCE).
- ASTM A759 (High-Strength Rail Steel): Used in some export regions.
- National or enterprise standards (such as China's Q235B/Q275, 55Q, etc.)

ASCE rail has a tee-rail profile and a flat bottom. Its height equals the width of the base for each weight. Its weight in the head, web, and foot of the specified profile has a fixed proportion of 42%, 21%, and 37%, respectively.
As a professional rail fastener supplier, GNEE RAIL can provide different standard steel rail such as GB,American, BS, UIC, DIN, JIS, Australian and South Africa which used in railway lines, cranes and coal mining.
