Rail pad is a kind of rail fasteners used between the rails and the tie plate, and it is usually made of elastic polyurethane mat. It is usually used under the rails and above the tie plate. Rubber rail pad can buffer the shake that the vehicles pushed on the tie plate and protect the tie plate and the sleeper from abrasion and impaction and prolong the service life of other fasteners.

What is the material of the rail rubber pad?
Rail rubber pads are primarily made from natural rubber or synthetic elastomers like EPDM, often blended with materials such as SBR, NBR, or Polyurethane (PU), mixed with fillers like carbon black for reinforcement and vulcanizing agents, sometimes incorporating steel mesh or HDPE layers for enhanced strength and durability. These composites provide essential shock absorption, vibration dampening, and wear resistance for railway tracks.

- Synthetic Rubbers:
