Basis
Our basic rail pads are made of rubber or plastic and are 4.5 mm to 9 mm thick. Their main purpose is to prolong the service life of the rails and the rail fastening by distributing the load to reduce shocks and vibrations on the rails. Our standard rail pads are made of rubber and are 4.5 mm to 10 mm thick. In addition to the basic rail pad properties, the standard rubber rail pad is usually designed for specific load deflection characteristics, which are certified in specifications such as SNCF IG04045 and DB 918 235.
