Type II Rail Fastening System
The Type II rail fastening system consists of nuts, flat washers, Type II elastic rail clips, gauge baffles, rail plastic insulators, spikes and rail pads. It is a proven elastic fastening system for main-line track, providing stable buckle pressure with a high strength safety margin and small residual deformation.
To improve the strength and clamping force of the spring clip, high-quality spring steel 60SiCrVA is selected as the material of the Type II spring clip. Compared with the Type I clip, yield strength and tensile strength are increased by 42% and 36% respectively (supplier comparison data). The diameter of the spring clip is the same as that of the Type I fastener - 13 mm.

Working Parameters of Type II Fastenering System
- Buckle pressure: ≥ 20 kN per set of fasteners
- Longitudinal resistance of rails: not less than 9 kN per set of fasteners
- Fatigue performance: no damage after 3 million load cycles, with gauge widening less than 6 mm
- Left-right position adjustment of a single rail: -8 to +6 mm

Clip Production Process
Spring steels such as 60Si2CrA are selected, and the material is verified to standard through spectral analysis, tensile testing and metallographic testing. After heating, the clip is formed in a die to control the size; after quenching and hardening, performance is optimized by tempering to improve elasticity and fatigue resistance. Corrosion protection such as hot-dip galvanizing is applied, and some clips are coated with anti-slip adhesive or an anti-slip pattern to enhance corrosion resistance and anti-loosening behavior. Dimensional appearance and mechanical properties are then tested; after passing inspection, the clips are classified, packaged and stored in a suitable environment.
