As the core component of the E-type fastener system, E clip (E-type spring clip) has various specifications and models to meet the needs of different railway working conditions.
From the perspective of model classification, the common ones are E1609, E1809, E1817, E2007, E2009, etc. Although there is no unified standard for model naming, the first two digits are usually related to the rail type or key dimensions that the spring clip adapts to, and the last two digits reflect its own design parameters. For example, compared with E2009, the rail parameters or track structure dimensions that the former adapts to are different from those of the latter, and the number "09" may represent specific specifications such as the opening size and buckling length of the spring clip.

In terms of mechanical performance specifications, buckling pressure and elasticity are key indicators. For example, the E2009 model has a buckle pressure of up to 13-18kN, which is suitable for high-speed or heavy-load railways and can withstand the strong force of trains during operation; the E1809 buckle pressure is generally 10-15kN, which is more suitable for ordinary trunk railways, taking into account track stability and cost-effectiveness. The elastic design of different models is also different. The E clip used for urban rail transit will optimize elasticity, better absorb train vibration and reduce noise.

In addition, the specification differences of E clips are also reflected in materials and processes. E clips used for heavy-load railways often use high-strength spring steel such as 60Si2MnA, and undergo special heat treatment to improve strength and fatigue resistance; E clips for ordinary lines use lower-cost materials and conventional processes. These specification differences enable E clips to accurately adapt to various railway scenarios from high-speed to ordinary, from light load to heavy load, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the rail system.
