Differences between Fast and SKL Rail Fastener System

As a key component to ensure the safe and stable operation of railway tracks, the performance of the railway fastener system directly affects the safety and comfort of railway transportation. Fast railway fastener system and SKL railway fastener system are widely used in railway construction, and there are significant differences between the two in many aspects.

Different structural composition

Fast railway fastener system is usually composed of spring bars, bolts, nuts, flat washers, spring washers, iron pads, rubber pads and other components. Among them, the spring bar is the key buckling part, which provides buckling pressure through its own elastic deformation to fix the rail tightly on the sleeper; bolts and nuts are used to connect various components to ensure the integrity of the system; iron pads play a role in dispersing pressure and enhancing the stability of the track structure; rubber pads can effectively buffer the vibration and impact generated by the train operation.

SKL railway fastener system mainly includes SKL spring bars, SS35 spiral railway nails, flat washers, plastic pins, guide plates and railway pads. SKL spring bars have a unique shape and are known for their good elasticity and buckling pressure; SS35 spiral rail nails are used to firmly fix the entire system on the sleepers; plastic pins help maintain the relative position between components and improve the stability of the system; guide plates guide the rails to ensure the accuracy of the train's travel direction; and rail pads can reduce the wear between the rails and the sleepers.

Different working principles

When the Fast railway fastener system is working, the spring bars are pre-tightened during the initial installation, generating a certain buckling pressure, tightly clamping the bottom of the rails and preventing the rails from moving horizontally and vertically. When the train passes, the rubber pads play a buffering role, absorbing part of the vibration energy and reducing the impact on the sleepers and the ballast bed. At the same time, the elastic deformation of the spring bars can adapt to the expansion and contraction of the rails due to factors such as temperature changes.

In the SKL railway fastener system, the SKL spring bars fasten the rails to the sleepers with a large buckling pressure through a special design shape. When the train is running, the system guides the displacement direction of the rail through the guide plate to keep it in the correct position. The plastic pin and the guide plate work together to ensure that the various components of the system work together, effectively transfer the train load, and resist the longitudinal and lateral movement of the rail.

Each application scenario has its own focus

Fast railway fastener system is used in a variety of railway lines due to its good versatility and adaptability, especially on high-speed and heavy-load railways. Its strong buckle pressure and good elasticity can meet the strict requirements of track stability during high-speed train operation, and effectively cope with the huge load and frequent vibration brought by heavy-load trains.

SKL railway fastener system is more mature in ballasted track lines. The system has a simple structure, is safe and reliable, and can easily adjust the track gauge by replacing the base, which is suitable for the relatively flexible structural characteristics of the ballasted track. SKL railway fastener system has been widely used in some ordinary railway lines and turnout areas where there is a high demand for track gauge adjustment and high requirements for the stability of the fastener system.
