Hot-rolled GB 38-75kg/m heavy rails refer to hot-rolled heavy-duty rails with nominal weights of 38kg/m, 43kg/m, 50kg/m, 60kg/m and 75kg/m as specified by the Chinese national standard. Common materials include 45Mn, 50Mn, U71Mn and U75V. For example, U71Mn has a carbon content of about 0.71% and has good strength, toughness and wear resistance. U75V has a carbon content of about 0.75% and adds vanadium to improve the comprehensive performance of the rails.
