WJ-7 railway fastener system is a split type shoulder-free fastener used on high-speed rail ballastless track, mainly used for ballastless track without shoulder.
Structural composition: It consists of T-bolts, nuts, flat washers, spring bars, insulating blocks, iron pads, rail pads, insulating buffer pads, heavy spring washers, flat pads, anchor bolts and embedded sleeves. Among them, there are two types of spring bars: W1 type (diameter 14mm) and X2 type (diameter 13mm, used when small resistance fasteners are used on bridges); rail pads are of type A (used for high-speed railways that also take freight into account, thickness 12mm) and type B (used for high-speed railways that only run passenger cars, thickness 14mm), and each type is divided into rubber pads and composite pads for small resistance fasteners on bridges.
Working principle of WJ-7 Clip Fasteners System: T-bolts are clamped on the iron pads, and together with nuts and flat washers, they apply buckling pressure to the spring clips; insulating blocks ensure insulation between the spring clips and rails; the rail pads provide elasticity, and the iron pads bear the vertical, lateral or longitudinal forces of the train. The vertical force is transmitted to the ballastless track through the height adjustment pads and insulating buffer pads under the iron pads, and the longitudinal and lateral forces are transmitted to the ballastless track through the spiral spikes. The oblong holes at the connection between the iron pads and the spiral spikes can be used for track gauge adjustment.
