A tie plate, also known as base plate or sole plate, which is a steel plate that used between the steel rail and railway sleeper. Tie plate basically has some holes and shoulder(s). But there is no shoulder in some types of tie plate. There are close relationship between rail and tie plate. Each tie plate is generally made for corresponding size of rail. Rail tie plate can be made by three processing ways: hot-rolled, casted and forged.

Cast iron railway baseplate, as the name suggests, is a railway floor made of cast iron. Its main function is to connect the track and the train to ensure that the train can run smoothly and safely. The cast iron railway floor is usually installed on the sleepers of the track and forms a track structure with the rails, sleepers, fasteners, etc. to provide support and guidance for the train.

Casting is a common technology to produce rail tie plates, which is also a cost saving way.

Casting Railroad base plate Features

High strength: Cast iron is a material with high strength, so the cast iron railway bottom plate can withstand large loads and impacts.

Good stability: The cast iron railway bottom plate has high installation accuracy, which can ensure the smoothness and stability of the track and improve the comfort of train driving.

rail fixng

Corrosion resistance: Cast iron has good corrosion resistance and can maintain stable performance in various complex environments.

Easy maintenance: The maintenance of cast iron railway bottom plates is relatively simple, requiring only regular inspections and necessary repairs.
