Rail Pad, which is assembled under the steel rail, can be used in all fastening system, to provide an more soft contact surface between the steel rail and sleepers or tie plate.
Rail Pad, which is assembled under the steel rail, it's main functions is Loading distribution over a larger surface & Elimination of load concentration and the resultant fatigue stresses & Centering of loads on the supporting element & Absorption of uneven contact surfaces between rail and support & Reduction of noise and vibration & Sealing between the bottom of the rail and the top of the support Reduction of wear of the rail and its support.
A rail pad plays an important role in reducing shock and vibration, the detailed functions lie in the following:
- Distribute the load that the trains pressed on the rails with a larger elastic surface.
- Reduce the noise that trains hitting on the rails and improve the comfort of the passengers.
- The use of rail pad can decrease the abrasion of rails and prolong the service life of rail track.
- The elasticity of rail pad can decrease the vibration
