different types of shoulders

As a leading provider of rail fastening solutions, we offer a diverse range of rail shoulders to meet our clients' requirements.

Rail shoulders are partially embedded into the sleeper to secure the clip of the base plate, providing both fastening and theft protection for the clip. There are primarily two types of rail shoulders: rail cast iron shoulders and weld-on shoulders. Both types of rail shoulders are suitable for securing elastic rail clips.

Rail Cast Iron Shoulder As the name suggests, rail cast iron shoulders are manufactured by casting iron and embedding them into concrete sleepers. They conform to various material standards such as GB/T 1348-1988, NF EN 1563(1997), ISO1038, DIN 1693, JIS G5502 (2001), KS D 4302, GOST 7293(1985), or BS EN 1563(1997).

Weld-On Rail Shoulder Weld-on rail shoulders are forged through hot forging processes according to AREA standards. They are utilized in situations where standard ties are impractical and are ideally suited for use on flat steel tie plates. Additionally, they enable users to construct rail retaining units on both steel sleepers and steel base plates.
