Comprehensive Understanding Of Rail Clamp Types

In the rail system, rail clamps, as key components, play an important role in fixing rails, maintaining track gauges, and ensuring the stability of rail structures. According to different classification standards, rail clamps have been derived into a variety of types, each of which is adapted to specific application scenarios and working conditions.

1. Classification by use

Railway rail clamps: used on railway lines to ensure the safe operation of trains. Ordinary railways often use spring-clip rail clamps, such as spring-clip type I fasteners; high-speed railways have higher requirements for precision and stability, such as WJ-7 fastener systems.

Crane rail clamps: fix crane rails and bear the load of heavy lifting. Bolt-connected types are easy to disassemble and suitable for temporary operations; welded types have high strength and are suitable for long-term high-load ports and heavy industrial cranes.

2. Classification by structural form

Spring-clip rail clamps: with spring steel springs as the core, they generate buckle pressure through elastic deformation. They have a simple structure and are easy to install. They are commonly used in railways.

Pinch plate track clamp: It is composed of a gusset plate and a bolt. The gusset plate is connected to the sleeper by bolts to fix the rail. It is commonly found in old or industrial tracks.

Combined track clamp: It combines multiple structural advantages and is often equipped with a buffer device. It is suitable for scenes such as subways and light rails that have high requirements for stability and vibration reduction.

3. Classification by installation method

Bolt-mounted track clamp: The track clamp and the sleeper are connected by bolts. It is easy to install and disassemble, and easy to maintain and adjust, but it needs to be checked regularly to prevent loosening.

Welded-mounted track clamp: It is directly welded on the supporting structure, with a firm connection. It is suitable for heavy-duty railways and large crane tracks, but it is difficult to adjust and replace later.

Different types of track clamps have their own characteristics in material, structure and performance. In actual applications, it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as track type, use environment, and load conditions to select the most suitable track clamp type to ensure the safe and stable operation of the track system.
