What is Rubber Pad Drawing Number?

Rubber pad drawing numbers vary by application, but for Indian Railways, common numbers for Grooved Rubber Sole Plates (GRSP) often start with RDSO/T- followed by numbers like T-3711, T-4865, T-5156, T-3703, T-4107, etc., depending on the rail weight (e.g., 60kg) and specific track design, specifying thickness, shape, and intended use (e.g., on concrete sleepers for curves). These numbers (like RT-3711 for 60kg rail) define dimensions and are essential for ordering and manufacturing.

Common Examples for Indian Railways (RDSO):

  • T-3711: For 60 KG UIC rail sections, often 10mm thick.

  • T-4865: Used for 52 kg rail systems, often with specific curve geometry (1 in 8.5).

  • T-3703: A common drawing for 52 kg rail systems, often 6.5mm thick.

  • T-5156/T-5163: Used for 60kg rails with concrete sleepers.

  • T-8998: For Composite Grooved Rubber Sole Plates (CGRSP) on wide-base PSC sleepers.

How Drawing Numbers Work:

  • Prefix: Often starts with RDSO/T- or just RT- (for Railway Track).

  • Number/Letters: The specific number indicates the pad's design, dimensions (thickness, width), rail weight (e.g., 60kg, 52kg), and intended track application (e.g., for specific curves or sleeper types).

GNEE RAIL is equipped with rail pad production lines for 130sets of machines, for the whole process of injection, refining rubber, sulfuration, moulding and inspection, etc. We own the most engineers for rail pad development, design, production and inspection, with annual production capacity reaching up to 2000, 000 pieces. What's more, rail pads for high speed rail lines are our featured products, including both the elastic rubber plates and height adjustment pads.

Rubber pad materials vary widely, including Natural Rubber (NR) for general cushioning, Neoprene (CR) for oil/weather resistance, EPDM for outdoor durability, Nitrile (NBR) for oil/fuel, and Silicone for high/low temperatures, chosen based on needs like shock absorption, anti-vibration, sealing, or insulation, often bonded to metal bases for structural support in applications from machinery mounts to bridge bearings.
