Due to their high strength and load-bearing performance, 75kg heavy rails are often used in heavy-duty railways and special industrial tracks, and strict requirements are placed on fasteners that match them. These fasteners must ensure that the heavy rails work stably under complex working conditions and ensure transportation safety.
In heavy-duty railways, the train axle weight often reaches more than 30t, and the huge longitudinal, lateral forces and vertical pressures generated require fasteners to have strong fastening force. Taking the commonly used spring clip fasteners as an example, the spring clips that are suitable for 75kg heavy rails must be made of high-quality spring steel such as 60Si2MnA. After special heat treatment, the buckling force must reach more than 15kN to effectively resist the displacement of the rails and maintain the stability of the track gauge. On heavy-duty lines with huge transportation volume such as the Daqin Railway, the SKL3 spring clip fasteners are used with 75kg heavy rails. Its lateral resistance of 12kN/m can ensure that the rails do not move laterally under the rolling of high-frequency trains.

For fastening bolts, the strength grade is at least 8.8, and some high-stress scenarios even require 10.9 bolts. This type of bolt has a high yield strength and can withstand large tensile forces to prevent loosening under the impact of trains. At the same time, the bolts need to have good anti-loosening performance, such as using special structures such as Spirax nuts, increasing friction through special thread design, avoiding nut loosening due to vibration, and ensuring a stable connection between heavy rails and sleepers.
As a transition component between heavy rails and sleepers, the pad must have sufficient strength and appropriate elasticity. High-strength cast iron or cast steel pads can bear the huge pressure transmitted by heavy rails and prevent themselves from deforming. Elastic materials such as rubber compounded on the pad surface can effectively buffer the impact of train operation, reduce damage to sleepers and heavy rails, and extend the service life of the track system. In heavy-load transport tracks of large industrial and mining enterprises, this elastic pad can reduce the wear of 75kg heavy rails caused by frequent start-stop impacts.

In some special environments, such as high humidity or highly corrosive areas, the corrosion resistance of fasteners is crucial. At this time, the surface of the fasteners is often treated with hot-dip galvanizing, Dacromet and other anti-corrosion coatings to form a dense protective film to prevent rust and corrosion, ensure that it can still work reliably in harsh environments, and maintain the stable operation of 75kg heavy rails.
