Performance of Improved Fair Anchors

The Improved Fair Anchors feature a unique design crafted from specially forged and heat-treated T-shaped spring steel, ensuring consistent strength and long-lasting durability.

These anchors utilize a drive-on design, comprising a jaw grip, overdrive stop, platform, and bearing area. Notably, their bearing area offers a larger contact surface compared to other drive-on anchors, providing superior holding power. The jaw grip delivers a vice-like action on the rail base, effectively resisting rail movement and ensuring exceptional stability.

Benefits of these anchors include full rail base contact, uniform distribution of creeping loads, elimination of sleeper chewing and climbing, and the largest sleeper bearing area. Notably, they are the only anchors capable of eliminating flex in frozen ballast rail pumping conditions.

With a history of regular use since 1906, Improved Fair Anchors are commonly employed in challenging installations or heavy-duty railway applications.
