First, the appropriate rail cross-section should be selected based on the lifting load, lifting frequency, and travel requirements. Since rail head width, rail height, and web thickness directly determine rail bending stiffness and wheel load distribution, QU100 or QU120 models with their larger cross-section and higher moment of inertia should be preferred for high wheel loads or long spans.

Secondly, the choice of rail material significantly impacts service life. GNEE RAIL's crane rails generally utilize U71Mn or U75V high-manganese alloy steels, which offer high strength (≥880–980 MPa) and excellent wear resistance and impact fatigue resistance. For everyday use and medium loads, U71Mn offers a high cost-effectiveness. For large cranes, high-impact environments, and high-frequency starting, U75V is recommended, as it extends fatigue life by approximately 20% or more.

Third, rail surface hardness and wear-resistant treatment are important.
