GB 8KG Light Rail Production Process

The production process of GB 8KG light rail covers multiple key links, and each step has an important impact on product quality and performance.

In the raw material selection stage, Q235B ordinary carbon structural steel is usually used. This type of steel has a low cost and mature smelting process. Its carbon, manganese, silicon and other elements have moderate content, which can provide the necessary strength and toughness for the light rail. Manufacturers will strictly control the quality of steel to ensure that it meets relevant standards and ensure product quality from the source.

Hot rolling is the core process of 8KG light rail production. The selected steel billet is heated to a high temperature, generally between 1100 and 1250℃. In this temperature range, the steel has good plasticity and is easy to roll. Under high temperature, the rolling mill applies pressure to the steel billet to gradually deform it into the desired light rail shape. Multiple rolling can refine the internal grains of the steel, optimize the organizational structure, and improve the strength and toughness of the material. At the same time, high-temperature rolling improves the surface quality of the steel, making it smoother and flatter, and reducing friction loss during use. For example, in the initial rolling stage, the steel billet is rolled into a rough light rail profile; in the subsequent finishing rolling process, the size is precisely controlled to ensure that the parameters such as rail height, bottom width, head width, waist thickness meet the GB standard. For example, the dimensional accuracy of the 8KG light rail with a height of 65mm and a bottom width of 54mm can be effectively guaranteed.

To ensure that each 8KG light rail meets the quality standards, strict quality inspection links are set up during the production process. The light rail will be hardness tested, and its surface and internal hardness will be tested by professional equipment to determine whether it meets the material performance requirements; the tensile test is used to test the tensile strength of the light rail, simulating the tensile force it bears in actual use, to ensure that it will not break within a certain tensile range; the impact test evaluates the performance of the light rail when subjected to impact loads and verifies whether its toughness is sufficient. Products that fail any test cannot enter the market.

In addition, some 8KG light rails may also be surface treated according to customer needs. For example, by using the galvanizing process, a zinc protective film can be formed on the surface of the light rail to enhance its anti-corrosion ability. It is suitable for humid and other corrosive environments, extends the service life of the light rail, reduces subsequent maintenance costs, and ensures its stable operation in various application scenarios.
