GB heavy rails are mainly made of steel materials such as U71MN and U75V, with trace elements such as niobium, vanadium and titanium added to improve toughness and fatigue resistance by refining grains. Its production requires processes such as steelmaking, continuous casting, rolling and heat treatment. The steelmaking process uses converters or electric arc furnaces, and the content of impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus is reduced through refining technology outside the furnace. The finished product must pass ultrasonic flaw detection, tensile testing and other tests to ensure that there are no internal defects and the tensile strength is ≥880MPa.

Strength and wear resistance: medium-high carbon steel material + manganese alloying, tensile strength ≥880MPa, high hardness (about 280-320HB), suitable for medium-frequency train or vehicle traffic.

 

Toughness: Manganese improves toughness, reduces the risk of brittle fracture, and adapts to slight vibration or impact conditions.

 

Weldability: It can be welded by flash welding, gas pressure welding, etc., but the cooling speed needs to be controlled to avoid cracks.

In the anti-rust process, first use a brush to evenly apply anti-rust oil on the surface of the rail, focusing on welding points, edges and corners and other easily corroded parts.
