GB heavy rails refer to heavy rails that comply with the provisions of China's national standards (GB) and are specifically used in railway track systems. In production, the conventional process is to convert iron ore into molten iron through blast furnace ironmaking, and then send it to the converter or electric furnace for steelmaking, strictly controlling the chemical composition to ensure that the steel is pure and has suitable mechanical properties. Subsequently, the billet is heated and deformed through multiple passes of rolling on the rolling mill, gradually forming an I-shaped rail with a distinct head, waist, and bottom structure. After cooling and shaping, the length of the rail is precisely cut through mechanical processing, and after passing the straightening, flaw detection and other processes, it finally becomes a GB heavy rail that can be put into use, meeting the stringent requirements of railway transportation for track bearing capacity and stability.
60kg/m rails are generally made of materials such as U71Mn and U75V.
