Product Introduction & Application
Heavy rail is an important component of railway track, with a weight of 38kg or more per meter, including 38kg/m, 43kg/m, 50kg/m, 60kg/m, 75kg/m and other types. It plays an important role in guiding the wheels of locomotives and vehicles, bearing the huge pressure of the wheels and transmitting it to the sleepers or rail beams, and also provides a continuous, smooth and least resistant rolling surface for the wheels. On electrified railways or automatic block sections and rail battery cars, rails can also be used as track circuits.
The main materials of rails are U71Mn, U75V, U78CrV, etc. Different grades have different chemical compositions and performance characteristics. For example, the carbon content in U71Mn is between 0.65% and 0.76%, and the manganese content is between 0.70% and 1.20%, with good strength and toughness.
