Product Introduction
As the core component of the railway track system, GB heavy rail is a heavy steel product produced in accordance with the GB standard system. Its production starts with raw material control. Iron ore, coke and other raw materials are carefully selected, and qualified steel billets are made through blast furnace ironmaking and converter steelmaking. The rail manufacturing process integrates the thermomechanical control process (TMCP). By precisely controlling the rolling temperature, deformation and cooling rate, the internal structure of the steel is optimized, giving the heavy rail high strength and good toughness. The rail head is strengthened by quenching and tempering process, with a hardness of about 350HBW, which enhances wear resistance; the structural design of the rail waist and rail bottom is optimized by mechanical calculation, which can effectively disperse the stress generated by the train load. The weight per meter is between 50kg and 75kg, which is suitable for different railway transportation needs and is the basic supporting material for building modern railway tracks.
75KG heavy rails are usually made of alloy steel such as U75V. The carbon content of U75V is about 0.75%, and it contains vanadium. Vanadium can form fine carbides, refine grains, and improve the wear resistance, fatigue resistance and strength of rails.
