GB heavy rails are divided into three categories according to specifications: light load, standard, and heavy load, corresponding to 50kg/m (U71Mn), 60kg/m (U71Mn/U75V), and 75kg/m (U75V). Light-load 50kg/m rails are used for urban rail transit ground lines, with a rail head arc radius of R13/R80 to reduce wheel lateral force;
Among standard 60kg/m rails, U71Mn is used for conventional trunk lines, and U75V is used for high-speed railways. The latter reduces the pearlite lamellar spacing to 0.15μm through vanadium elements, which increases the contact fatigue life by 30%;
Heavy-load 75kg/m rails use U75V steel, with a rail waist thickness of 20mm, and a rail bottom slope design of 1:40 to enhance anti-rollover stability. They are suitable for coal transportation lines with an axle weight of 35 tons, with an annual transportation volume of up to 150 million tons.
