Gauge tie rod structure
The gauge tie rod is mainly composed of iron clips, fasteners and two rod bodies. The ends of the two rod bodies are connected by a joint. An insulating sleeve is arranged inside the joint, and an outer sleeve is arranged outside the insulating sleeve. The ends of the two rod bodies and the inner hole of the outer sleeve are provided with mutually matching connection structures. The connection structure is a thread or at least one spaced groove. The outer sleeve is integral or split. There is no step between the outer circle of the rod and the inner and outer circles of the outer sleeve except for the connection structure.
The importance of rail gauge rod
As an important accessory of railway track, gauge rod helps to improve the lateral stability of the track and the ability to maintain track distance. If a derailment occurs between rails, a crane will be needed to lift the rails or engines back onto the track, and extensive track repairs will also be required.
