Railroad Anchor Installation Steps:
- Select the appropriate rail anchor for the specific application.
- Clean the sleeper or tie – Remove any debris or dirt from the sleeper or tie before installation to ensure a secure fit.
- Position the rail anchor – Place the rail anchor on the sleeper or tie with the curved end facing the base of the rail. The anchor should be centered on the track base and maintain consistent orientation throughout installation.
- Drive the rail anchor – Once positioned, use a sledgehammer to drive the anchor into place. Strike the anchor until it fits snugly against the rail base.
- Test the rail anchor – After installation, verify the anchor's tightness and stability. Reposition and redrive any loose anchors until secure.
