In the first two months of this year, Handan Iron and Steel Company of Hesteel Group closely targeted the demand for high-end materials in the field of railway construction, and continued to make efforts in the research and development, production, supply guarantee and market promotion of heavy rails, with remarkable results. The production and sales volume of heavy rails reached 118,000 tons. Its products are not only widely used in the construction of many domestic railway key projects, but also successfully exported to Brazil, a country that jointly builds the "Belt and Road".
As Handan Iron and Steel's core "fist" product, heavy rails occupy an important position in both domestic and foreign markets, and are also key products for enterprises to achieve high efficiency. Among them, the high-speed heavy rails with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, with the advantages of high dimensional accuracy, high straightness and high surface quality, effectively guarantee the smooth and safe operation of high-speed rails, and represent the top level of heavy rails on world railway lines. In 2025, Handan Iron and Steel further deepened its cooperation with China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. and various railway bureaus, and actively participated in the construction of many domestic key railway projects such as the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway, Chongqing-Guizhou High-speed Railway, Xi'an-Yanzhou High-speed Railway, and Shenyang-Baihe High-speed Railway, consolidating its important position in the domestic high-end heavy rail market.
Handan Iron and Steel has also made significant breakthroughs in international market development. In February this year, more than 2,000 tons of 115RE SS high-quality heavy rails customized and produced by Handan Iron and Steel rolled off the production line smoothly. After strict inspection, the product quality fully meets the requirements of the American standard AREMA-2023. This batch of heavy rails has now been exported to Brazil for the construction of local key railway projects. This is the second time that Handan Iron and Steel's heavy rails have won recognition since they successfully entered the Brazilian market in 2023, further enhancing the popularity and influence of Handan Iron and Steel's heavy rails in the global market.
