Railway Clips—skl clip e clip

In the railway track system, E Fasteners System - e clip (E-type spring clip) and SKL Fasteners System - skl clip (SKL spring clip) are important components to ensure the stability of the track, but they differ in many aspects.

Different structural design: e clip is a unique "E" shape with an open side. It generates buckling pressure through elastic deformation and tightly clamps the rails and sleepers. Its design makes installation relatively simple, and it can be installed in the embedded iron seat slot from the side. The design of skl clip is more diverse. Taking the common SKL 3, SKL 12 and SKL 14 as examples, it is usually composed of a curved spring clip body and a specific installation structure. The contact method and force point of the spring clip body with the rails and sleepers are different from those of e clip. Some SKL spring clips are fastened to the bottom of the rail through the specially shaped ends, and are fastened with other components.

Different mechanical properties: The buckle pressure of e clip varies with the model. For example, the buckle pressure of E2009 is relatively large, up to 13-18kN, which is suitable for high-speed or heavy-load railways and can resist the strong force generated by train operation; the buckle pressure of E1809 is generally 10-15kN, which is more suitable for ordinary trunk railways. In terms of elasticity, there are also optimized designs for different application scenarios. For example, when used in urban rail transit, in order to reduce noise, its elastic design can better absorb train vibration. The mechanical properties of SKL spring clips also have their own characteristics. Some SKL spring clips focus on high stability in design, which can provide continuous and stable buckle pressure for the track. They perform well in some high-speed railway and heavy-load railway scenarios with extremely high requirements for track stability, effectively preventing rail displacement and ensuring track geometry.

Different application scenarios have different focuses: e clip can be widely used in a variety of railway scenarios with its rich specifications and models. On high-speed railways, it can withstand the strong impact caused by high-speed driving; on heavy-load railways, it can cope with large axle-load transportation with strong buckling pressure; on ordinary lines, it can meet daily operation needs with economical and reliable performance; in urban rail transit, it can also play a role in shock absorption and noise reduction in conjunction with other components; on special terrain railways such as mountainous areas, the restraint capacity of the rails can be enhanced by adjusting component parameters. SKL spring clips are common on European railways and are widely used on ordinary railways and some heavy-load railway branches. Especially in some lines that have high requirements for the stability of the fastener system and the convenience of installation and maintenance, SKL spring clips can adapt well to track conditions and maintain stable track operation.
