The installation link needs to focus on accuracy. Before installing the spring clip, check whether the limbs are deformed, ensure that they are completely fitted with the gauge baffle slot, and the buckle pressure reaches the design value (such as 12-15kN for type III spring clips), to avoid excessive looseness causing rail creep or excessive tightening causing spring clip fatigue fracture. Bolts need to be tightened with a torque wrench. 10.9-grade bolts are pre-tightened at 600-700N・m, and 8.8-grade bolts are controlled at 200-250N・m. It is strictly forbidden to use a sledgehammer to tighten to prevent thread damage. When installing ballastless track embedded parts, it is necessary to ensure that the verticality deviation of the casing is ≤1° and flush with the top surface of the track plate to avoid the failure of the bolts to be screwed in smoothly later.
Daily inspections need to pay attention to dynamic changes. Check the status of the spring clips weekly. If the gap between the limb and the rail head is found to be greater than 1mm, or the buckling pressure drops by more than 20%, they need to be replaced immediately. Measure the track gauge monthly. When the deviation of the straight section exceeds ±2mm and the curve section exceeds ±3mm, adjust it through the track gauge baffle. After adjustment, tighten the bolts to prevent the baffle from loosening. In the rainy season, it is necessary to focus on checking the rust of the bolts. If the zinc layer peeling area exceeds 5%, apply anti-rust paint in time. In coastal areas, the tightening force in a salt spray environment is reviewed once a quarter.
Maintenance must follow the periodic specifications. The spring clips are sampled for fatigue testing every 3 years to ensure that there are no cracks after 1 million cycles; after 5 years of use, the threads need to be tested for go/no-go gauges, and those with wear exceeding 0.3mm need to be replaced immediately. When replacing fasteners, the same model products should be selected in the same section to avoid mixing spring clips with different buckling pressures, which will cause uneven force on the rails. Bolts that are temporarily disassembled and reinstalled need to be replaced with new nuts to prevent damage to the threads of the old nuts from affecting the preload.
Special scenarios require enhanced protection. The reinforced spring clips in the curve section need to be checked every six months to ensure that the buckle pressure is maintained above 18kN. The anti-climbing device and the rail contact surface need to be coated with anti-skid grease to increase the longitudinal resistance. The status of the seamless line fasteners needs to be monitored in the hot season. When the rail temperature exceeds the locked rail temperature by ±20℃, the inspection frequency should be increased to prevent excessive temperature stress from causing deformation of the rail waist. In corrosive environments such as chemical zones, anti-corrosion fasteners need to be replaced every 2 years. 316 stainless steel should be selected to extend the service life.
