How do rail pads work together with rail eastic clips?

How They Cooperate:

 

 

  • Load Distribution & Vibration Damping: The rail pad acts as a cushion, taking the direct impact and spreading the load from the rail foot to the sleeper, reducing wear and preventing crushing.

 

  • Clamping & Securing: The E-clip (or similar elastic clip) applies constant, strong pressure (clamping force) onto the rail, holding it firmly against the pad and base plate.
